What’s involved
First we establish whether the wall is structural and what it’s carrying. Where needed, we arrange the structural calculations so the new beam is correctly sized for the load.
We then prop the structure safely, remove the wall, and install the supporting steel beam (RSJ) so the load is carried properly above the new opening.
Finally we make good — plastering, flooring and finishing — and ensure the work is signed off under building regulations, so it’s safe and documented for the future.
